# Request a refund - Sequence

A refund is the process to request the refund of a partial or total amount from a payment request that had been confirmed by Aplazo to the merchant. This can't be undone.

Here is the sequence process and how to interact with Aplazo for a payment request

## Steps&#x20;

1. Use Authentication call to get the Bearer token ( to be used in following call)&#x20;
2. Use the Request Refund call and get the Aplazo checkout URL&#x20;
   1. Request will go to Aplazo support queue&#x20;
